About Me
Hi, I’m Rebecca (she/her), a BABCP-accredited CBT and EMDR Psychotherapist.
I grew up in Yorkshire and now live and work in London. My path into therapy comes from a curiosity about people - how we feel, think, and respond in the ways we do. I see the patterns we struggle with not as signs that something is “wrong,” but as ways we’ve learned to survive difficult experiences and environments.
Having experienced therapy myself, I understand what it’s like to sit on the other side of the room. This shapes how I work, with a focus on helping you feel safe, heard, and comfortable in the relationship we build together.
I have a particular interest in working with trauma, whether connected to early experiences, unmet needs in childhood, or single-event experiences. I aim to offer a neuro-affirming space where your experiences are understood and respected, and where you can be seen as a whole person - shaped by relationships, culture, identity, and the wider context of your life.
As a BABCP-accredited therapist, I work in line with the BABCP Code of Ethics and Practice. I’m committed to ongoing learning, CPD, and regular clinical supervision to ensure my work is safe, effective, and informed by current evidence.
Outside of work, I enjoy connecting with friends, being in nature, and any opportunity I have to interact with a dog!
My Experience:
Alongside my private practice, I’ve worked across NHS and charitable services, supporting people with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, trauma, depression, and low self-esteem.
I have experience within NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT), where I developed a strong foundation in structured, evidence-based approaches, as well as offering longer-term, more individualised therapy in other settings.
I also bring experience from roles as a Clinical Lead and supervisor, supporting and guiding other therapists and helping to ensure clients receive thoughtful and effective care.
Over the years, I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds and life experiences. I recognise that each person’s story is unique, and I aim to adapt my approach to fit you as an individual.
My qualifications:
Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies
EMDR Accredited Training
BSc (Hons) Psychology
My additional training:
Advance Clinical Skills in Compassion Focused Therapy
Narrative Exposure Therapy
